Methods

LA Weave

Keratin Bonds

Keratin Bonds

This method is easily the most cost-effective and easiest to maintain. No chemicals, heat or braids are needed to apply this method. This is fitted by using small silicone micro rings to retain a track across the head and then a flat weft being sewn to secure it down.

A refit is needed every 8 weeks which involves taking the weave out brush though all of the shaded hair and refitting the weave. Depending on the quality of the weave, the initial fitting can last 9-12 months if aftercare is followed correctly.

Keratin Bonds

Keratin Bonds

Keratin is a natural protein found in your hair as well as various different hair care products. They are applied with a small heat tool to melt the bond and rap it around a small neat section of your hair.

This method is super discreet as you can see in the above photo as well as requiring the least amount of maintenance.

Once fitted there is no need to come in to the salon for around 3-4 months until a removal, Retip and refit is required.

Tapes

Nanos ans Micros

Nanos ans Micros

This method involves tapes lying flat to the head and are very easily reused.

This method does not suit a client with thick or oily hair however no metal is used in application so perfect for anyone with allergies.

Maintenance is required every 6-8 weeks, when a removal and refit will be needed.

Nanos ans Micros

Nanos ans Micros

The difference between nanos and micros is the size of the rings used (nanos show in photo).

Extensions are individually applied to the hair and clamped shut to secure the hair.

This method is not suitable for people with excessively shedding natural hair or any metal allergies.

A maintenance or rotation is needed every 8-12 weeks.

Aftercare

Aftercare is the most important thing when it comes to extensions-

- Plait your hair when you go to bed.

- Wash your hair 2/3 times a week.

- Only shampoo at the root/no oil products near the root.

- Run your fingers through the top of your roots if you have an individual method.

- Use an oil on your mid lengths and ends.

- Use a sulphate-free shampoo (unless you have a weave).

- Avoid going swimming in chlorine or sea water but if you do to use aftercare to protect your extensions.

- Cover your hair when going on sunbeds/fake tanning.

- Look after your hair and it will look after you!
